These are the core community rules that help us keep Cogar welcoming, safe, and useful for everyone.

1. Respect and kindness

This is an open Irish-language community. Treat other people with respect, kindness, and patience.

2. No hate or harassment

We do not allow racism, sectarianism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, harassment, bullying, or threats.

3. Child safety and sexual content

No sexually explicit content, sexual solicitation, grooming, or sexual content involving minors. Any child sexual abuse or exploitation content or behaviour will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

4. No violence or self-harm encouragement

No threats of violence, incitement to harm, or content that encourages or instructs self-harm or suicide.

5. No scams or spam

No scams, fraud, impersonation, phishing, or spam.

6. Share only content you are allowed to share

Do not upload content unless you have the right to share it. Only post material you own or have clear permission to use.

7. Respect learners and dialects

Respect learners and all dialects. Do not shame people for mistakes, accents, or dialect choices; offer help and corrections constructively.
