How we keep Cogar open, safe, and respectful for everyone
Last updated: June 14, 2026
By using Cogar, you agree to follow these house rules.
These are the core community rules that help us keep Cogar welcoming, safe, and useful for everyone.
This is an open Irish-language community. Treat other people with respect, kindness, and patience.
We do not allow racism, sectarianism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, harassment, bullying, or threats.
No full frontal nudity, sexually explicit content, sexual solicitation, grooming, or sexual content involving minors. Any child sexual abuse or exploitation content or behaviour will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
No threats of violence, incitement to harm, or content that encourages or instructs self-harm or suicide.
No scams, fraud, impersonation, phishing, or spam.
Do not upload content unless you have the right to share it. Only post material you own or have clear permission to use.
Respect learners and all dialects. Do not shame people for mistakes, accents, or dialect choices; offer help and corrections constructively.
When you share a link to another website, Cogar may display a preview card with a meta image, featured image, or thumbnail from that source. Cogar is not responsible for those images — they are provided by other platforms or sources and may not reflect Cogar's content policies.
